WILPF

Feminist Peace. Political Economy. Movement Storytelling.
We partnered with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) - the world’s longest-standing women’s peace organisation - to clarify and visually express its Theory of Change and core policy frameworks for a new generation of audiences and members.
Working at the intersection of peace, disarmament, gender justice and political economy, WILPF advances ideas that are systemic in nature but grounded in a simple premise: security is built through care, equity and collective wellbeing - not militarisation. We first developed the visual identity, messaging architecture and storytelling foundation to articulate this positioning with clarity and coherence. Building on this strategic base, we then translated the narrative into a distinctive animated video series designed to inform, engage and mobilise.

Narrative, Visual Identity & Messaging
Developed core messaging frameworks for WILPF’s Theory of Change and Feminist Political Economy
Translated complex policy concepts into accessible, values-driven language
Created a cohesive visual identity and tone of voice reflecting WILPF’s historic legacy and contemporary relevance
Structured a storytelling system to support audience growth and movement-building
Animated Storytelling
We conceptualised and produced a series of animated explainer films combining illustrated storytelling, archival materials and WILPF’s characteristic tongue-in-cheek tone — balancing seriousness with clarity and wit.
Theory of Change Video - A collage-style animation incorporating archival imagery to showcase WILPF’s century-long leadership while clearly presenting its strategic approach to feminist peace: watch here.
Feminist Political Economy Explainer - An illustrated film breaking down the “who, what, when, where, why and how” of feminist political economy in a straightforward, at times surprising and humorous manner - reframing systemic economic critique through the lens of care and interdependence: watch here.
