IUCN

Science. Systems. Natural Capital.

We partnered with IUCN, the world’s largest environmental network, to translate complex marine science and policy priorities into compelling narrative platforms that strengthen the case for ocean conservation as both a climate imperative and a natural capital strategy.

Working across IUCN’s Marine and Polar Programme, we helped shape the strategic narrative foundation behind flagship initiatives on blue carbon, nature-based solutions and ocean acidification. Our role spanned research, messaging architecture, editorial leadership, visual strategy and digital execution, ensuring scientific rigour was matched by clarity, accessibility and finance relevance.

We positioned marine ecosystems not only as environments under threat, but as critical assets within the global climate transition - linking biodiversity protection, sustainable livelihoods, policy reform and emerging blue finance mechanisms to long-term economic resilience.

Narrative & Strategic Communications

  • Developed core messaging frameworks connecting marine science, climate mitigation and blended finance

  • Translated complex technical research into accessible, agenda-setting narratives

  • Structured content architectures guiding audiences from scientific insight to policy and investment relevance

  • Strengthened alignment between conservation priorities, capital mobilisation and systemic climate risk mitigation

Interactive Storytelling & Digital Platforms

We conceptualised, designed and produced immersive microsites integrating narrative sequencing, illustration, motion and interactive mapping to create intuitive and engaging user journeys.

Nature’s Superheroes in the Fight Against Climate Change: A parallax-driven platform spotlighting the carbon sequestration potential of coastal ecosystems and reinforcing the case for scaled protection and investment.

Nature-Based Solutions and Business Working Together for People and Planet (BNCFF): An interactive showcase of blue natural capital projects linking biodiversity, livelihoods and climate mitigation to innovative financing pathways - bridging local implementation with global capital flows.

Ocean Acidification – Present and Future Actions: An immersive digital experience translating complex ocean chemistry and systemic climate risks into clear public positioning, connecting science with mitigation strategies, policy priorities and global action.

International Policy Framework for Blue Carbon Ecosystems: A structured digital policy platform translating complex international frameworks into an accessible strategic roadmap for governments, practitioners and financial actors - clarifying how blue carbon ecosystems can be integrated into national climate commitments, biodiversity strategies and investment pipelines.

Editorial & Institutional Publications

We wrote and edited contributions for Marine News Magazine, strengthening narrative coherence across themes including marine plastics, climate impacts, restoration finance, high seas governance and regional initiatives - reinforcing IUCN’s positioning at the intersection of conservation science, policy leadership and emerging blue finance.
