GCA

Climate Adaptation. Local Leadership. Scalable Resilience.
We partnered with the Global Centre on Adaptation to conceptualise, research and produce Stories of Resilience: Lessons from Local Adaptation Practice, a flagship publication highlighting how locally led adaptation delivers tangible climate resilience outcomes on the ground.
As climate impacts intensify, adaptation is increasingly recognised as both urgent and underfunded. GCA sought to showcase practical, community-driven solutions while distilling transferable lessons for policymakers, funders and practitioners. Our role spanned the full editorial and design process, transforming diverse case material into a coherent, visually engaging and strategically positioned publication.

Concept Development & Editorial Leadership
Conceptualised the publication framework and narrative architecture
Coordinated inputs from multiple contributors and regional case studies
Conducted research and structured thematic analysis across adaptation contexts
Wrote and edited case studies to ensure clarity, coherence and policy relevance
Synthesised lessons learned into actionable insights for decision-makers
We focused on connecting lived local experience with systems-level implications, ensuring each story illustrated not only impact but also replicable principles for scaling adaptation practice.

Design & Visual Storytelling
Developed a clear visual identity aligned with GCA’s institutional brand
Designed layouts integrating photography, data, quotes and key insights
Structured content flow to guide readers from human stories to strategic recommendations
Produced a publication suitable for both digital dissemination and high-level policy engagement
