REN21

Energy Transition. Civil Society. Inclusive Infrastructure.
We partnered with REN21 to conceptualise and develop the communications campaign for the Paris Agreement Compatible Scenarios for Energy Infrastructure (PAC 2.0) project.
The objective was not simply to promote a technical scenario, but to shape a clear global narrative around inclusive energy planning and the role of civil society in achieving Paris-aligned infrastructure.
We structured a two-phase campaign focused first on the “Why” of citizen engagement in grid planning, and then on the “How” - translating complex energy system scenarios into practical actions for civil society organisations and individuals.

Narrative & Messaging
We developed the foundational messaging around two core pillars:
Renewable energy needs grids. Scaling renewables requires rapid expansion and modernisation of electricity infrastructure.
Civil society strengthens energy planning. Early and meaningful participation improves ambition, legitimacy and social acceptance.
We translated highly technical energy planning concepts into accessible, empowering language tailored to global civil society groups, climate advocates and grid planning stakeholders.

Visual Identity
We created a distinctive campaign language and visual identity aligned with collaboration, participation and systemic transition, helping demystify grid planning while positioning citizens as legitimate contributors to energy governance.
