Jacobs Foundation

Child Development. Systems Change. Evidence to Impact.
We are proud to work with the Jacobs Foundation, which invests in the future of young people to strengthen learning systems and ensure children and youth develop the skills needed to contribute to resilient societies. Our role has been to translate the Foundation’s research-driven strategy, results and financial reporting into clear, engaging and accessible digital experiences.

Annual Report Microsite
We conceptualised and developed a dedicated microsite for the Foundation’s 2021 Annual Report, transforming dense institutional reporting into a light, intuitive and inspiring user journey - see it here.
Annual reports can often feel overwhelming due to the volume of information they contain. Our approach focused on clarity, space and flow. We designed a visually open microsite structured around custom-made illustrations that organically divide the report into five key sections, allowing users to navigate content without cognitive overload.
The structure guides readers smoothly from high-level strategic summaries to detailed financial reporting, ensuring both accessibility and transparency. Built on WordPress infrastructure, the platform enables the Foundation team to easily update and manage content over time.

Theory of Change Microsite
We also edited, illustrated and designed the Foundation’s Theory of Change microsite and additional flagship publications, translating complex academic research, impact data and systems thinking into compelling visual storytelling - see it here.
An organisation’s Theory of Change can be challenging to communicate clearly. We began by working closely with the Jacobs Foundation team to structure the narrative around their priorities and long-term objectives before entering the design phase. From there, we created a seamless cognitive journey that allows users to quickly grasp the core logic behind the Foundation’s strategy.
The microsite opens with an illustrated representation of the Theory of Change, welcoming users into the conceptual framework before guiding them step by step through its components. The platform is linked to the Annual Report microsite, creating a cohesive digital ecosystem that connects vision, strategy and measurable impact.
Like the Annual Report platform, the Theory of Change microsite is built on a flexible WordPress infrastructure, ensuring ease of maintenance and future development.
