GISF

Humanitarian Security. Risk. Systems Coordination.
We partnered with the Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF) during a pivotal institutional transition. In 2020, the European Interagency Security Forum expanded to become a global platform - a shift that coincided with the disruption of COVID-19 and the need to move its planned launch fully online.
We supported GISF with strategic messaging and storytelling to clarify its global positioning and communicate its evolving role in a rapidly changing humanitarian risk landscape. Together, we developed a fast-turnaround animated film designed to engage digital audiences and clearly explain the context, history and purpose behind the organisation’s global expansion: watch here.
Strategic Messaging & Narrative Development
Clarified positioning for GISF’s transition from European to global platform
Developed messaging articulating the changing nature of humanitarian security risk
Structured a concise, high-impact script covering institutional history, mandate and global evolution
Ensured narrative clarity despite a high density of technical and contextual information
The first animated film introduced audiences to the world of humanitarian security: the complex and shifting risks facing aid workers, why coordinated security approaches matter, and how GISF supports safer humanitarian operations worldwide.

Animated Storytelling & Visual World-Building
We brought the narrative to life through dynamic illustration and expressive typography that complemented and enhanced the spoken script. The visual approach humanised security risk management by depicting humanitarian workers in context - the environments they operate in, the risks they face and the systems designed to mitigate those risks in order to protect both workers and the communities they serve.
Building on the established visual identity, we developed a second animated explainer focused on Security Risk Management (SRM): watch here.
Translated technical SRM concepts into accessible, audience-focused storytelling
Balanced data and narrative through carefully paced graphical elements
Maintained visual continuity while deepening conceptual clarity
Delivered an informative yet engaging film tailored to humanitarian and development practitioners
